How we report the news
What we cover
News that matters to people who fly privately or are weighing a jet card: changes to providers and programs, regulation that affects private flights, the aircraft they fly, market data, and safety.
Where stories come from
Every story links the reporting and primary sources it draws on, credited by name. Where we can, we go to the primary source: regulators, filings and company announcements.
How stories are made
An automated system monitors trade and business publications and primary sources, groups coverage of the same event, and drafts a summary in our own words from those sources. An editor reviews every story before it is published, checks it against the sources, and approves it. Nothing is published automatically.
Our own data
The 'What it means for jet card buyers' section draws only on the program and aircraft information we publish elsewhere on this site, where every figure carries its source.
Independence
Providers do not pay for coverage or placement and do not review stories before publication.
Updates and corrections
Developing stories are updated with the date of each addition. If we get something wrong, we correct it and say so. See our corrections policy.
