Questions to put to XO
- Do you discount roundtrips, by how much, and what counts as a roundtrip?
- Which of these does my hourly rate already cover: federal excise tax, fuel surcharges, taxi time, de-icing, catering, wi-fi, repositioning, segment fees?
- How many minutes of taxi time are billed per flight, and is it charged on top of any daily or segment minimum?
- Is there a daily minimum, and how is it applied on a day when I fly one short leg?
- How much notice do you need for a typical booking, and how much for a peak day?
- How many peak days are there a year, when are they, and what is the surcharge?
- If my assigned aircraft is unavailable, do you guarantee a comparable replacement at my contracted rate, and at whose cost?
- Is every region I fly inside your primary service area, and what changes when I fly outside it?
- Is my deposit held in escrow, in a segregated account, or in your general operating account?
- Are there any inactivity provisions — do my funds drain if I do not fly for a certain period?
- What third-party safety audit ratings do you hold, and what is the minimum you require of any operator you book on my behalf?
